Budget

Aside from the cost of the international flight, you will find most other expenses in the Philippines much more affordable compared to any place in the United States. For example, you can easily feed a group of four for under $15, and taxi rides across the entire island can cost under $8. Various water sports/activities can range from under $3 to $15 per person.

For example, I once reserved an entire boat meant for ten people, including lunch, for $100. I had full control of the boat itinerary, and I and my guest enjoyed a feast meant for ten.

The estimates below are provided for illustrative purposes to help you feel more confident about budgeting for this trip. It should go without saying that you are not required to eat at the finest restaurants every day or hire private drivers unless you want to. You can easily adjust the costs of any given day, as you would back home, to fit your budget. The key point of the table below is to show you the variety of ways you can make this trip work for your budget once you get here.
